Kent Cinemas Old & New Dvd

Description

After a brief history of picture-going over the years (some cinemas shown have been used in the programme on dvd ‘Cinemas we Loved’).

We concentrate on the many different locations and styles of Kent cinemas.

From Odeons to ‘flea pits’.

Most of the main towns are featured and show the few places that are still using 35mm film.

Such treasures include:

Carlton Westgate.

Silver Screens at Dover and Folkestone.

Plus a real undiscovered gem, the ‘Empire’ in Sandwich, where time has stood still and the wonderful staff make the experience of picture-going a real pleasure.
