A journey along the branch line of the former Somerset & Dorset Railway from Evercreech Junction to Burnham on Sea.

Starting at Evercreech Junction, each of the intermediate stations and halts are featured on the journey to Glastonbury and across the Somerset Levels to Highbridge and to Burnham on Sea.

Then follows the return journey from Highbridge.

With nearly an hour of archive film, we see freight and milk traffic and feature the many remote level crossings as well as showing views from the carriage window and from the footplate together with scenes of the railway from the lineside and beyond.

This programme recalls what it was like to make a leisurely journey behind steam along this lovely old branch line railway.
