This dvd, Cab Ride No.05, gives a Driver’s view of the famous West Coast Main Line over its southern stretch, from Euston in London to Liverpool Lime Street via the Trent Valley cut-off and Weaver Junction.
The journey took place on Thursday, 30th May 1985, which was four days before Crewe station was completely, closed for a period of seven weeks for remodelling.
The programme therefore represents a record of the “old” Crewe.
