Visiting this great three day rally.

The 2014 Welland Steam & Country Rally reached its 50th year.

This 50th Jubilee year brings to life the celebration of all things vintage and the numbers of steam engines, vintage tractors, cars, trucks, motorbikes and everything classic and historical reflected that.

There were many steam engines of all sorts at the rally, not just ‘Road Steam’ engines, there was also a full size locomotive giving rides on the standard gauge train line and two other narrow gauge engines in operation.

All weekend the old time Fun Fair was powered by ‘Showman’s Engines’ as would have been the case a hundred years ago.

Demonstrations of vintage harvesting and arena displays ran throughout the three days.

There were also a number of ‘locomotives’ there this year, ranging from a full size train on the GWR – Great Welland standard gauge Railway, to a Field marshal ‘shunter’.

This programme brings you all of the action in the arena and around the rally ground.
