A celebration of twenty years in preservation, including a look back at the last years in British Rail’s operation of this one-time Southern byway which now forms one of the most popular attractions in the County of Hampshire.

In this dvd we discover rare archive film remaining of steam services on the line, plus footage of the final years of DEMU trains until closure in February 1973.

Film sequences from twenty years ago illustrate the early years of preservation, including the re-opening day of 30th April 1977.

Altogether a feast of archive film.
