As we follow the engines on this challenging road run around the historic area of Matlock and Cromford we are provided with a great demonstration of what can still be achieved with these vintage vehicles in the 21st Century.

Describing the route and follows the engines and their crews as they prepare and then tackle the very demanding ‘Up’s and Downs’ of the hills, valleys, roads, lanes and villages of the Derbyshire countryside around Matlock Bath and Cromford, in the inaugural Wirksworth steam engine road run in May 2014.
