Shunters in Action Dvd

Description

A variety of diesel shunters in action throughout the country.

The diesel shunter fleet comprises a considerable number of designs.

They can be seen working throughout the preserved network, on some industrial sites, while a number are still in service on the national network.

In this programme we look at a number of classes in action in recent months in a variety of roles.

The programme comprises:

Boston Docks featuring an 08 and 03 shunter including cab views and scenes along the Branch and into the port.

The Mangapps Farm Railway featuring Class 04 and 03 shunters plus views from the cab.

The Nene Valley Railway with a Class 14.

The Bluebell Railway with double headed 08s during the lines diesel gala.

The Shackerstone Railway with Class 02, Class 04 and Class 08s at work on passenger and freight.

The Swanage Railway with Class 08s running the length of the line.

DB Schenker Class 08s at work at Margam Yard in South Wales, Toton Yard, Didcot Yard, Eastleigh Yard and Works and Westbury Station and Yards.

Plus Doncaster shunters: A variety of designs at the Middleton Railway in Leeds and The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway.
