Newlines – ‘Open & Shut’: New stations and lines reopened, the Mid-Hants at Alton, closure of Tunbridge Wells to Eridge, including a now historic cab ride over the line!

Cab Ride – West Coast Main Line: Under the wires from Euston to Liverpool, through the old Crewe, aboard 86257 Snowden. One of the boldest moves by British Rail in 1985 was the complete shut-down of Crewe station in order to bring the track layout in line with modern standards. Our cab ride features the old layout a few days before it was swept away.

Preservation – The Great Central Railway: The only preserved trunk line in the country, featuring both diesel and steam.

Archive Film: BR (SR) steam working in the 60s from Waterloo and Nine Elms depot, filmed by BR drivers and firemen (from 8mm film).
