Jinties, 0-4-0 Saddle Tanks, Midland Half Cab, 2-6-4 Fairburn Tanks, Ivatt 2-6-2 tanks, Ivatt 2-6-0 tender locos, Fowler 4fs, Crab 2-6-0s, Black 5s, Stanier 8fs, Jubilees and Standard Classes.

The history of these classes is explored using colour archive film from around the London Midland Region in the days of working steam.

Archive Film is included from Carlisle, Shap, Manchester, the North West, Peak Forest, Bolton, the Cromford and High Peak Railway; plus the steam sheds of the 1960s.
