Description
Archive film from the Era of Green and Corporate Blue.
The new fleet of diesel & electric power on Britain’s railways carried distinctive, and in many cases short lived liveries.
The era of green gave way to corporate blue, which in turn was replaced by a host of new colour schemes in the 1980s and 1990s.
In this programme we chart these changes using a remarkable selection of archive from the 1950s and 1960s through to the sectorisation of the pre-privatisation era.
Featuring:
The one off ‘XP64’ livery introduced in 1964 and revived in 2001.
The era in Corporate Blue as applied to the diesel and electric main line fleet.
The Woodhead electrics and scenes from the 1970s.
Approx. 60 minutes.
