‘Along LMS Lines’ is a series of films featuring steam traction along a variety of former LMS lines.

In this instalment, we cover the lines around Stoke-on-Trent, Stockport and Crewe.

Beginning on the West Coast Main Line at Stafford and Norton Bridge, we cover the Stoke-on-Trent to Churnet Valley lines terminating at Caldon Lower.

Back at Stoke, a visit to the shed is included.

It is then north to Stockport via Adswood.

An in depth look at Edgeley station and shed shows Jubilees, B1s, WD, Crab, Stanier and Standard types from the early 1960s to 1968.

On to Crewe via Manchester Piccadilly with a visiting A4 pacific.

Activity at Crewe shows many types of locomotives from Jinty to Duchess, and a few early diesel and electric types in their early liveries.

A visit to Crewe South shed is also included.

This programme is nearly all colour and has an informative commentary and authentic sound track thereby achieving the best out of the original archive film.

Approx. 60 minutes.
