Description
Diesel & Electric Traction between 1970s & early 1980s.
The 1970s and early 1980s were a happy hunting ground for those interested in the Modern Traction Scene.
Loco hauled trains dominated on longer distance and express passenger workings.
Freight traffic still saw plenty of wagon-load traffic.
There was plenty of variety, with Class 25s and Peaks and Class 40s in abundance.
In this programme we’ll take a tour around the country and explore an era that would soon enter the annals of modern traction history!
