Description

Memorable events recorded in 1990s to early 2000s, under Geoff Silcock’s  ‘Sentimental Journeys’ banner.

Recreating a journey through the years of steam this dvd has a wide selection & variety of locations & engine movements.

We start off the magical tour of steam with an introduction from Geoff Silcock who provides some background to his now well-established ‘journeys’.

This excellent footage includes:

Butler-Henderson No. 69568 with two ‘faces’ fully lined on one side, plain black on other, for one weekend only!

No.62660 at Colne & Woodhouse Station.

Two un-rebuilt Bulleid Pacifics Swanage & 257 Squadron at the Swanage Railway, plus double-headed Bulleids 34105 & 34072.

Somerset & Dorset Railway tribute at West Somerset Railway where the S&D 7F, West Country Class 34105 Swanage, 73096, 44422 (on freight) & others recreated the S&D perfectly.

7F on freight at Knitson Farm. ‘44417’ milk train recreated.

B12 in black livery on North Norfolk Railway.

Jubilees Mars on charter, Amethyst ‘45700’ on charter & ‘5552’ renamed Silver Jubilee at the East Lancashire Railway & Great Central Railway.

A 14XX recreating Titfield Thunderbolt at Dean Forest Railway 9681 Pannier Tank on freight, ‘The Last Steam Byways’ origin.

Broadstone 53806 on freight.

Double headed 9Fs Nos. 92212 & 92203 at Great Central Railway.

P & Terrier at Kent & East Sussex Railway, Recreation Southern 1556 0-6-0 tanks, signal ‘pure light railway’ & shunting moves.

Brighton Terrier on mixed trains.

Llangollen Railway recreated Cambrian Coast Express No. 3205, 0-6-0 goods engine & goods junction box.

B12 on charter, Weybourne Bank, North Norfolk.

The 100th charter B12 4-6-0 ‘No. 61572’.

National Railway Museum’s T9 at Swanage.
