Description
Amateur footage.
The British Rail Class 90s were built by BREL at their Crewe works from 1987-1990 to replace the ageing Class 81s-85s.
A total of fifty locos were built and under sectorisation, split 50/50 between passenger and freight traffic.
Filmed between 1999-2002 this action packed DVD features more than 200 trains.
Filmed at many locations including:
Bletchley, Doncaster, Norton Bridge (closed in 2004), Nuneaton, Rugby, Stafford, Tring, Tamworth, Willesden and Wolverton.
Sectorisation and privatisation saw the Class adopt many liveries during this period.
These included Virgin, Deutsche Bahn, Intercity Swallow, Rail Express Systems, Freightliner, GNER, EWS, SNCF Grey and various Railfreight variations.
In addition to Intercity passenger and containers workings, we see 90s working Class 92 convoys, light engine, enterprise, parcels, railtours, Ford Escort Vans and sleeper services on both the East and West Coast Main Lines.
