Amateur footage filmed between 1996 – 2002.
The British Rail Class 86 were built between 1965 and 1966 by English Electric and British Rail.
A total of 100 locomotives were built to haul trains on the West Coast Main Line.
The class was developed following experience with earlier AC locomotive designs (classes 81 – 85), along with features unique to the class 86.
This exclusive dvd features footage of 88 different locomotives filmed between 1996 and 2002.
Locomotives working light engine, double headed, convoys, freight and passenger!
Liveries featured include:
BR Blue, Intercity Swallow, Anglia, Freightliner Grey & Green, Virgin, Rail Express Systems and EWS.
Filming locations include:
Acton Bridge, Bletchley, Crewe, Ipswich, Norton Bridge (now closed), Rugby, Stafford, Tamworth, Tring, Warrington Bank Quay and Willesden.
