Description

Amateur footage filmed around Rotherham 1995 to 1998.

Filmed over several visits to South Yorkshire, this DVD focuses on freight activity at Aldwarke Junction and Parkgate, Rotherham between 1995 – 1998.

We see non-stop loco-hauled freight action from over 100 trains, including light engine movements and loco convoys.

Situated on a major railway junction we see a wide variety of freight including merry-go-round HAA coal trains, oil tankers, steel, engineers, stone, gypsum and cement, as well as cross-country passenger services.

Locomotive Classes include 37, 43, 47, 56, 58, 59 and 60.

A few highlights include:

Mainline 37013 with London Underground stock move.

EWS 37885 and 37886 with self-discharge train.

EWS 37114 and Loadhaul 37517 with weedkilling train.
