CFL in 1996: Our first port of call is Luxembourg, looking at operations that can be seen today. Both passenger and freight services feature in the programme. Including Class 1800 diesels and class 3600 monocabine electrics.

Euro Hotspots: Grafen-Neudorf The first Hotspot footage looks at the services passing through the South West German town of Grafen-Neudorf, witnessing varied traffic from local suburban services to the high speed ICE trains.

Dijon Yard: We take a detailed look at operations within the massive Dijon Yard located in Eastern France. Diesels and Electrics both feature on all manner of interesting freight traffic.

Saalfeld Area Profile: Our visit to the Saalfeld area (in 1996) coincides with the recent Plandampf (timetabled regular steam workings) featuring Steam class 01, 18, 44 and 50. Electric classes featured are 103s, 112s, 150 and 155 and Diesel classes 219 and 232.

Euro Hotspots: Basel Northern Switzerland is the location for the second Hotspot with footage of a variety of workings featuring SBB classes, Re420, Re430, Re460, Re620 and BLS class Re425.

Euro Round Up: Footage includes news and some of the more unusual motive power found in Europe, including DB Classes 702 and 750, An Austrian Track Car, SNCF and DB Test Coaches, Trams on the mainline, DB Class 120 003 prototype on test, SNCF Class CC72000 on Calais trains and an SNCF CC14100

Alpine Crossings, Part 1 – The Brenner Pass: The first part of a series looking at railways crossing the beautiful high Alps. In this film from the scenic Brenner Pass we observe Austrian Class 1042s and 1044s at work.
