Full of rare black & white photographs, it traces the beginning of the line in the 1890s to its grand opening in 1901 and its demise in 1932.

Its claim to fame though is forever recorded on film with the use of the line in two feature films; The Wrecker and Oh! Mr. Porter which are detailed in the book.
