Main Line Return to Swanage Dvd

The full story behind the return of passenger trains to the Swanage branch in April and May, the first diesel since 1972 and the first steamer since 1967. Includes aerial footage of Tangmere as it traverses the branch.

Extensive coverage of the very first trains on 1st and 2nd April hauled by two Class 66s from DB-Schenker. Many lineside locations and interviews with the key people on the day and footage of the trains as they departed from London and on-board the journey to Dorset. See the trains negotiate the junction at Worgret on these truly historic days.

Altogether, a fitting tribute to the final connection with the main line at Wareham.

A co-production with Andrew P.M. Wright, long-time Swanage Railway volunteer and official photographer, with ten camera teams covering the events.

Approx. 120 minutes.
