Civil Aviation Dvd

A programme by Totally Archive.

As the name suggests all the footage on this dvd is archive amateur footage.

We do not pad out our dvds with contemporary footage or still photography – all ‘Totally archive’.

All the footage was shot on silent film but we include interesting informative commentary where appropriate.

This programme starts with shots of Croydon Airport, San Francisco and Basra in the 1930s.

Continues with other rare unseen 1930s footage through the decades with shots of an Armstrong Apollo in colour, an Aviation Traders Accountant, the prototype Comet at Farnborough.

Then progresses to colour footage of Farnborough in 1940s and 50s.

Plus other airfields showing a wide variety of planes in the 1960s and early 1970s.

Featuring:

Cierva helicopter, Eagle Airlines, Airspeed Ambassador, Fokker Friendship, Bristol Freighter, BOAC Comet.

Approx. 57 minutes.
